Weight Loss Jamun, Indian Black Plum Smoothie
In this article I am sharing a smoothie recipe with an amazing fruit of rainy season yes it is jamun or Indian Black plum in English. If I say Jamun is a magical fruit I won’t be wrong so I thought why not to make a healthy weight loss smoothie which will keep you full for a longer time because if you eat jamun alone it will not fill your stomach for that you need to consume a lot of jamun so this smoothie will provide you all the goodness & benefits of jamun & suppress your hunger as well. The biggest problem with this magical fruit is, you cannot enjoy this fruit & it’s benefits for the entire year it is available for a very short period of time so try to include it every day in your diet until it is available. This smoothie is beneficial for diabetic, thyroid & PCOD/PCOS patients & can be consumed by them as well.
- A cup of Jamun(Indian Black Plum)
- 2 and a half TBSP roasted Oats
- 1 and a half TSP Milk Powder
- 1 TSP coconut flour
- 1 TSP coconut sugar/palm sugar/stevia leaves powder
- A required amount of water
Promote Weight Loss: Jamun is great for weight as it has very fewer calories so you can consume it more without worrying about the calories. It contains saturated fats, vitamin A & beta carotene & it has the low glycemic index which makes it perfect for weight loss.
Best For Diabetes: People who are suffering from diabetes this fruit & its seeds are the blessing for them jamun has the ability to convert starch into energy and regulates your blood sugar level It also prevents diabetes complication by slowing down the process of both sugar and lipid accumulation in the blood. Consuming jamun fruit regularly has also been proven to lessen the symptoms of diabetes
Good For PCOD/PCOS & Thyroid: Jamun reduced sensitivit of cells to insulin are major symptoms of PCOS or PCOD. Obesity & regulated insulin level are the major factors which provoke your PCOD/PCOS & Thyroid so jamun is great to prevent these health issues.

Vitamin B1 Also known as thiamine, this vitamin is found in many foods, including grains, beans, nuts, and meat. Iron As a component of hemoglobin, a protein responsible for transporting oxygen in the blood, iron is absolutely essential in the human diet. Selenium An antioxidant, important for various processes in the body. Low selenium status has been associated with increased risk of premature death and impaired immune and mental function. Magnesium often lacking in the diet, this mineral is important for numerous processes in the body. METHOD: Put all the ingredients in a blender & blend it to achieve a smooth paste.
